Great tutorial on how to untangle UVs in complex scenes under Maya. However, some of this may be inconsequential as Maya 2008 has an automated UV untangle mode called "Create UVs -> Automatic Mapping" available in the Polygons menu.
Still a great tutorial for manually untangling special cases.

This is a very interesting interview with a game company doing work with LucasArts on the Star Wars 2007 game. The new physics system in this game has to be seen to believed. Metal bends, wood splinters and everything looks amazingly real. Some of the interviews are in English, but the main one is dubbed in French.
